To: Members of the Council

Sub.:   Clearance of fully facilitated Bills of Entry pending for more than 24 hours

Dear Member,

JNCH (Nhava Sheva) has issued Public Notice No. 164/2018 dated 28th December, 2018 regarding clearance of fully facilitated Bills of Entry pending for more than 24 hours.

It has been noticed by JNCH that importers/ Customs Brokers are delaying the clearance by not paying applicable duty (average delay: 70-85 hours) and not registering even after payment of duty (average delay: 50-60 hours) for fully facilitated Bills of Entry (No assessment / No examination prescribed).

In this regard, Importers/Customs Brokers are now required to clear the fully facilitated Bills of Entry in less than 24 hours time (from entry inward / arrival of goods).

In view of the above, a helpdesk has been created in RMS facilitation centre to clear any doubt or difficulty faced by Importers / Customs Brokers in clearance. All concerned must approach helpdesk to resolve issue and obtain Out of Charge within 24 hours.

Contact details of the officers at helpdesk is given here-below-

  1. Shri. Dhananjoy Sarkar, AC/RMS  (9892202441)

  1. Shri. Ravi Bhushan, Appraiser/DPD (9768285781)
