Re: Participation of member-companies in “Vietnam International Textile & Apparel Accessories in HCMC”, Vietnam from 20 to 23 November 2019

Dear Sir/s,

We are glad to inform you that SRTEPC is organizing participation of its member-companies in “Vietnam International Textile & Apparel Accessories” on the above-mentioned dates in November 2019. In this regard, in order to get better connections with prospective Vietnamese buyers, SRTEPC is obtaining endorsement (support) from the two local leading Trade Bodies --- Association of Garment Textile Embroidery – Knitting (AGTEK), and Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) by virtue of recent invitation of Vietnamese buyers by SRTEPC to visit “Source India / RBSM” organized by the Council in Mumbai very recently during August.

The participation in the Fair is being organized under the MAI Scheme with active assistance and guidance of the Embassy of India in Hanoi & its Consulate in HCMC and with the support of Ministries of Commerce & Industry, & Textiles. 

In order to get focused attention of visiting buyers besides making the presence of India noticeable, all participating Indian companies will be positioned at a centrally located demarcated area in the Fair, called: “INDIA PAVILION”.

An extensive Publicity & Promotional campaign will be launched by the Organizers of the Fair to publicize and promote the participation of companies among the customers of textiles & clothing in Vietnam. 

Details of participation:

4. Offer for Participation:
   1. Highly Subsidized participation charges :
      For 9 sqm furnished booth:Rs.1,00,000/-
      For 6 sqm furnished booth:Rs.75,000/-
   2. Booth package for 6 & 9 sqm booth :

Wall Partitions, Carpet, Company name on the Facia, 1 Reception Desk, 1 Round Table, 3 Chairs, 3 Spot lights, 2 unit fabric rod OR 2 yarn shelves, 1 Power Socket, 1 Waste paper basket.

3. Reimbursement of costs of Airfare :

SRTEPC will provide to all eligible participants re-imbursement of costs of 2-way air-fares, subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions.  The reimbursement of cost of economy class air-fare to eligible participants will be limited with a maximum ceiling of Rs.70,000/- (actual cost or Rs.70,000/-, whichever is lower)

4. Interpreter Services :

A common pool of interpreters will be made available for helping the participants in the matter.

5. A Exhibitors Catalogue :

SRTEPC will compile a separate Catalogue of Exhibitors for its participants for their disseminating to buyers.

6. A “Dossier on Vietnam” :

A separate “Dossier on Vietnam” will also be compiled for assisting SRTEPC participants with inputs including a reference list of prospective buyers in Vietnam

5. Products Profile:

The entire range of Indian Textiles & clothings including fibre, yarn, fabrics, made-ups, home textiles, apparel and accessories will be exhibited by participating companies for the benefit of buyers in Vietnam

6. Subsidized booth based on One-Company-One-Booth Norm:

While any company can apply for booking of more than one booth for its participation in the Fair, only one booth ‘with subsidized cost’ (as mentioned above) can be booked by a single company.Accordingly, costs for additional booths (in excess of one subsidized booth), will have to be paid based on the market cost, payable to the Organizers of the Fair by the Council without any MAI subsidy.

7. Number of SRTEPC Participants in the Fair:

SRTEPC will organize participation of around 20 companies in the Fair. 12 booths of 9 sqm each and 8 booths of 6 sqm each.

8. Last Date for accepting Application : 20^th September, 2019

High-lights of Market Potential:

1. Vietnam is one of the leading exporters of garments & textiles, for which it relies heavily on import of fabrics, yarn, fibre and textile accessories. 
2. Vietnam imports large quantities of raw materials for catering to the requirements of their flourishing garment industry, and hence, it presents an excellent opportunity for Indian exporters of fabrics, made-ups, yarn and fibre for discussing business with their target customers by participating in the event.
3. Vietnam’s thriving Garment Sector, with an access to the EU, presents a tremendous scope for supply of raw materials including yarn and fabric to this sector. 
4. Total global import of man-made fibre textiles by Vietnam in 2018 was USD 100.39 Million, of which USD 68 million for fabrics, USD 1.39 million for made-ups, USD 30 million for yarn and USD 1 million for fibre.
5. Vietnam’s import of MMF Textiles from India during 2018 was only USD 137 million ---- accounting a small share of 3% in the Vietnamese market of MMF Textiles.
6. Product Share in the export basket of Indian MMF Textiles to Vietnam include fabrics 78%, Made-ups 2%, Yarn 12% & Fibre 8%.
7. Main countries / markets, which imported MMF Textiles from Vietnam are China, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, etc.

Vietnam is one of the “Tiger Economies” of ASEAN, and China was earlier its major Sourcing Partner.  However, currently with the withdrawal of many Chinese suppliers from the market due to high cost reasons – specially at the low to medium end of the textile value chain, Vietnam offers an excellent opportunity to exporters in India to fill the gap in the supply due to the reduced presence of the Chinese companies in the trade of textiles in Vietnam. Hence, the Event offers an excellent opportunity to fill the gap in supply being left on accounts of the withdrawal of the Chinese suppliers --- a especially at the low to medium end of the textile value chain. 

How to Apply :

In view of the above, those, interested in participation in the above Fair should apply to the Council immediately by sending their duly filled in “Application Form (download)” with necessary payment through Cheque/DD drawn in favour of “The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council, Mumbai” . In order to save time, members are requested to arrange to send their participation charges through RTGS transfer, based on the Bank details given in the Application Form (download). 

Cancellation Policy :

Cancellation of participation will be decided on the following:

• 80% Cancellation charge, if participation is withdrawn on or before 25^th September, 2019.
• No refund will be available, if participation is withdrawn on any date thereafter.
