Re: Organizing participation in IM INTERMODA at Guadalajara, Mexico - January 14 to 17, 2020

I am glad to inform you that SRTEPC will be organizing participation of its member-companies at IM INTERMODA being held at Guadalajara in Mexico under the MAI Scheme of the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India on the dates, as mentioned above.

INTERMODA, Guadalajara is the South America’s one of the largest specialized international fairs of textile & garment manufacturing industries.  This Fair was started over 25 years ago with the objective of providing a professional business platform to all stakeholders in the Mexico’s textile sector. Apart from Mexico, buyers from Portugal, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, USA, China, South Korea, Peru, Canada, Chile etc. also visit this famous int’l Event in Mexico.

The Fair attracts more than 10,000 businessmen including top-notch buyers of Apparels, Textiles of Manufacturers of fashion-wears & service providers.  This mega program brings together Mexican and int’l companies – manufacturers, importers and distributors.  It’s an ideal platform to publicize the Indian brand and step up sales, launch new products and expand company’s network of business contacts in the highly potential Latin American markets.   The last edition of this Fair had a total number of 1371 of booths --- representing 10 segments of textiles / apparels.   17 countries including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Panama, India, China, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Canada, France, and Italy organized participation of their leading companies in INTERMODA for showing their products to their target customers in the South American Region.

High lights of Mexican Textile Market:

• Mexico is the Unite State’s 3^rd largest trading partner.
• Mexico is the 2^nd destination of all US exports.
• Mexico accounts for roughly 1/6^th of all US export-valued business.
• 22 American states depend on Mexico as their 1^st or 2^nd destination for exports.
• More than $ 1.25 billion valued business a day is transacted in a 2-way trade.
• Nearly 50000 US small & medium sized enterprises export to Mexico.

Due to huge demand of the Fair, organizers already started enrolling participants for the Fair, and have requested the Council to immediately confirm its participation and the list of its participating companies.  Considering this, the Council would like to finalize the list of SRTEPC participants at the earliest. 

In view of this, if you are interested in participating in this Fair, kindly do fill in the “Application Form” at the earliest and arrange to send it along with full participation fee of Rs.1.30 lakhs drawn in favour of “The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council” Mumbai at the earliest but not later than 25^th October, 2019.

In connection with your participation in IM INTERMODA Fair, kindly note the following:

1. The participation will be limited to 20 companies with subsidized cost under the MAI grant of MOC.
2. Each participant will be given a stall of around 12.96 sqm (3.60 m x 3.60 m) with 1 Table, 3 Chairs, 1 Locker, Carpet, 1 double polarized 110/120 volts, 500W electrical, 1 Rack or 1 Shelf, Facia Board.  Any extra requirements will have to be borne by participants on the basis of actual costs charged by the Organizers of the Fair.
3. 1 company will be allocated one booth only under the subsidized charge. 
4. One of the representatives’ of the participating company needs to be a Proprietor, Partner, and Director as the case may be depending on the type of company to claim re-imbursement of the costs of air-fare.
5. Subsidized participation charge for a booth of 12.96 sqm along with furnitures / props will be Rs.1.30 Lakhs.
6. Any extra booth, depending on its availability, will be charged at market price (@ Rs.2.16 lakhs)
7. Amount of participation charge doesn’t include any expenses of representative/s of participants companies like airfare, hotel expenses etc.
8. All eligible member-participants will be re-imbursed cost of 2-way airfares of one eligible person under the MAI scheme of MOC, Govt. of India.  Re-imbursed amount will be based on actual costs of air-tickets or Rs.1 lakh – whichever is lower. 
9. A small common pool of Interpreters will be made available for helping participants.  However, for an independent service of an interpreter, participants will have to use their own interpreters.
10. Participants will be given assistance in obtaining Visa, hotel accommodation etc.
11. Last date for accepting Application with full payment is 25^th October 2019
12. Participants will be selected on a “First-come-first-Served” basis.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation of participation will be based on the following:

1. 80% cancellation charge, if participation is withdrawn on or before 31^st October 2019.
2. No refund will be available, if participation is withdrawn on any date thereafter.
