New Duty Drawback Rates for 2019-20

Sub: New Duty Drawback Rates for 2019-20

Dear Member,

We would like to inform you that the All Industry Rates of Duty Drawback for 2019–20 have been announced by the Government vide Notification No. 7/2020– Customs (N.T.) dated 28^th January, 2020.

In this regard, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Government for increasing the Drawback rates and caps of some of MMF Textile items and also, adding new entries in the Drawback Schedule. Further, we would like to thank our members for kind cooperation and support in substantiating the data, as and when required by the Council.

Please note that the Drawback rates of some of the MMF Textile items have increased from the range of 0.10% to 0.80% and even the Drawback caps are increased from Rs. 0.30 to Rs. 13.40. Also, there is a decline in Drawback rates / caps of few of the MMF Textile items due to reduction in the Customs and other duties.

Comparative Statement of Drawback rates for the major items of MMF Textiles under the Drawback Schedule for 2018-19 and 2019-20.

Members are requested to kindly go through the Drawback Schedule and send us your feedback/suggestions especially on anomalies if any, i.e. classification/ description of items and Drawback Rates/Caps etc., latest by 31^st January, 2020 to ed@srtepc.in / es@srtepc.in so that the same can be taken up with the Government, since, the new Drawback rates are applicable w.e.f. 4^th February, 2020. Your quick response in this matter shall be highly appreciated.
