Sub: CBIC increases the effective rate of Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) on  petrol by Rs. 2 per lire and on diesel by Rs. 5 per litre.

CBIC has issued Notification No.5/2020-Central Excise dated 5th May, 2020 by making amendments in Notification No. 5/2019-Central Excise dated 6th July, 2019

Please note that this notification shall come into force w.e.f. 6th May, 2020.

Members may kindly make a note of the above changes.
