Sub.: Amendment in Export Policy of Personal Protection Equipment/ Masks
Dear Member,
Vide Notification No.20/2015-20 dated 21st July, 2020, DGFT has made the following amendments in the Notification No. 14 dated 22nd June, 2020 amending the Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Export Policy 2018 related to the export of Personal Protection Equipments / masks.

Following Personal Protection Equipments (PPEs) exported either as part of kits or as individual items –
1) Medical Coveralls of all Classes/Categories (except Surgical drapes, Isolation aprons, Surgical wraps and X-Ray gowns)
2) Medical Goggles
3) All masks other than non-medical/ non-surgical masks (Cotton, Silk, Wool, Polyester, Nylon, Rayon, Viscose – Knitted, Woven or Blended)
4) Medical Nitrile/ NBR Gloves
5) Face Shield

Effect of this Notification will be as follows -
Notification No. 14 dated 22nd June, 2020 is amended to the extent that only Surgical drapes, Isolation aprons, Surgical wraps and X-Ray gowns are removed from prohibition under the medical coveralls of all classes and categories. All other items as described above including other types of medical coveralls of all classes and categories, exported against the mentioned HS Codes or falling under any HS Code continue to remain prohibited for export, as part of prohibition on personal protection equipments.
