Final Reminder for Renewal of Membership for the year 2020-2021

Dear Sir,

We are thankful to all our exhibitors, members for their participation and support in the successful organisation of the Source India 2020 Virtual 5.0 exhibition. It’s a flagship event of the Council which was organized for bridging the gap between the buyers and sellers. In its maiden virtual event, the Council brought together more than 400 Buyers from 65 countries for the 86 participating exhibitors on the virtual platform. 

It was a sincere effort by the Council to help members in making some positive business development through the Source India 2020 Virtual 5.0 platform during such difficult times of pandemic. 

As you are one of our esteemed and valuable Members, the Council would like to continue to serve you in the realm of export.  However, as per our records, you have not renewed Membership of the Council for the financial year 2020-2021 (April -March). We have sent to you several reminders for the same, which you might have missed, inadvertently.

As you are aware, the Council issues Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) for a period of five years, wherein the membership of the Council has to be renewed every year for the RCMC to remain valid. Hence non-payment of Membership renewal fees will result in discontinuation of Membership as well as cancellation of RCMC issued to you without any further notice.  Moreover, we will have to inform all the concerned Government Authorities such as DGFT, Customs, Excise, Drawback etc. about the cancellation of your RCMC.

Although we are not aware of the reasons for the non-renewal of your membership, in case, it has escaped your attention, we would like to kindly remind you vide this final reminder.

In order to continue to avail all the services offered by the Council to its Members (annexure), we suggest, that you may renew your membership with the Council immediately.

You may send your Cheque/D.Draft/Pay order favouring “THE SYNTHETIC & RAYON TEXTILES EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL” for an amount of Rs.12,331/- (Rs.8201/- for SSI units) or you may pay vide NEFT/IMPS (bank details are given below)  without any further delay.

Membership may also be renewed online through Council’s website www.srtepc.in.

Dear Sir,

We are pleased to send herewith the Subscription Memo for the renewal of your Membership of the Council for the year 2020-2021.

Kindly note that the annual fee is Rs. 12331/-. However, for S.S.I Units, the fees will be Rs. 8201/-. The above said fees also include the G.S.T. charge @ 18%. The Membership fee should be paid latest by 30th April 2020.

Members enrolling in the category of Manufacturers with the Council and holding valid S.S.I. Certificate issued by the competent Government Authority for production of items that fall under the purview of the Council i.e. Synthetic and Rayon textile items, are eligible for Membership under SSI Manufacturer Category. The membership fee for such members will be Rs.8201/- only (For other Members i.e. Non-SSI, it is Rs.12331/-) To avail of this concession, please send a copy of valid S.S.I. Certificate for Synthetic & Rayon textile items along with the payment.

We would like to bring to your attention that non-payment of the membership fee will lead to the cancellation of membership and consequently the cancellation of Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) granted as per the direction of Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020 of the Government of India. You are, therefore, requested to send us your Cheque / Demand Draft in accordance with the enclosed subscription memo at the earliest but not later than 30th April 2020.

We also like to inform you that the Council has made all arrangements for the online renewal of membership as well as online issuance of RCMC. You will be able to renew your membership online through website: membership.srtepc.org w.e.f. 1 st April 2020. Please note that your company IEC code is your user id and you click on ‘forgot password’, you will receive your login details on your registered email id, which will enable you to access your RCMC account online.

We look forward to the renewal of your Membership and request you to send us the subscription amount by online payment/crossed cheque or Demand Draft in favour of "The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council" payable at Mumbai at the earliest. Members can also pay the renewal fee at the Regional Offices of the council New Delhi and Surat. Please do write your company IEC number as well as GSTIN number behind your cheque/DD in-case of offline renewal payment.

With reference to the above subject, as informed earlier by our Circulars message dated 31st March, 2020 (Ref: Secy/Mem/1728), we requested for the renewal of your company’s membership with SRTEPC.

However, in case, for any reason, you haven’t received our above mentioned Circular message, we would like to give you a ‘soft reminder’ for the renewal of membership of your company soon, since the new Financial Year - 2020 to 2021 has already begun, and hence, it’s already time for your company to arrange renewal of its membership with SRTEPC for 2020 to 2021.

Your renewal of membership at the earliest date will help us get an opportunity to continue our service to your company without any break to enable you to avail of our all benefits for the expansion of your export-trade with your target prospective customers (Buyers) across the world.

In this regard, as you are aware, the amount of renewal of membership fee (annual) is Rs 12,331/-. However, members, who are enrolling in the category of Manufacturer with the Council, and are holding valid S.S.I. certificate, issued by the competent authority in the Govt. for production of items, which are falling under the purview of the Council (i.e. Synthetic and Rayon textiles items), the renewal of membership fee will be subsidised for such members to Rs 8,201/- only. All the above-mentioned fees are inclusive of 18% GST.

Please note that your company “IEC CODE” is your “USER ID”, and when you CLICK on ‘forgot password’, you will receive your login details on your registered email id, which will automatically enable you to access your membership (RCMC) online.

The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) is one of the oldest Export Promotion Councils set up way back in 1954. The Council has been playing a transforming role since its inception, inculcating export culture and promoting exports of Indian Manmade fibre textiles globally. Exports of the Manmade fibre textiles which were negligible in the 1960s, have grown substantially to touch US$ 6.2 billion during 2019-20 with untiring efforts of the Member-companies reaching out to over 140 countries.

As you are one of our esteemed and valuable Members, the Council would like to continue to serve you in the realm of export. As you are aware, the SRTEPC is doing a lot of Export Promotion, liaising with Government Agencies to remove the bottlenecks, facilitating in reimbursement of taxes, and also keeping members updated with the latest trends in Exports. I am sure, over the years, you were benefited from these services of the Council.

Today the whole world is looking forward to Indian manufacturers as an alternate source for their MMFT requirements. It is an opportune time for us to rise to the occasion.  Being an SRTEPC privileged member you have the one-stop-shop facility to promote your MMFT products from India. The main services being provided by our Council are to facilitation in exports, updating market trends, dissemination of information on Manmade fibre textiles, Liaison with Government on various policy issues, participation in international exhibitions and providing handholding support etc. Details are given in the Annexure.

Even during the current COVID 19 pandemic and complete lockdown, Council has been constantly working for its members and issuing Certificate of Origin, Export Performance Certificate, GST Certificate etc online in facilitating exports. The Council has also taken up with the government for an early resolution of the serious problems faced by our members like cancellation of export orders, the realization of export payments, transportation of goods & shipping of consignments, high demurrage/detention charges, movement of employees, compulsory payment of salaries/wages and export documentation etc during this period.  Issues in detail taken up by the Council are given in the Annexure.

Further our Council has been in continuous touch with the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of Finance, RBI, CBIC, DGFT, ECGC, and other government authorities in addressing various issues such as Special export package, coverage of the entire MMF textile value chain for Rebating of all taxes paid by the exporters under RoSCTL/ MEIS/ RoDTEP, an extension of Moratorium period, allow the functioning of the textile industry during lockdown period, export documentation, logistic support and release all pending dues of government schemes etc. Please see the Annexure for detailed recommendations (immediate & long-term measures) made by the Council.

Virtual Global Expo of MMFT: Council is planning to organize a virtual international exhibition for its members during 2020-2021. Similar to RBSM (Reverse Buyer Seller Meet) a Virtual Platform would be created in which we shall be inviting overseas buyers for visiting the exhibition online for the benefit of member exporters. It would be a wonderful opportunity in current times since at the nominal cost of attending a physical exhibition, exhibitors get to live interact with global buyers and know the buying trends and their requirements.

This is the time we all should support our Council for continued facilitation of exports and therefore I personally request you to renew your membership at the earliest and continue availing all the benefits for expansion of your export-trade with your target prospective customers (Buyers) across the world.
