Sub: Withdrawal of No Objection Certificate to the MSME Export Promotion Council by Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Dept. Of Commerce.
This is to bring to the notice of the members that the Council has received a letter dated 9th October 2020 from the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Commerce (DOC) stating that the Ministry of MSME has informed that It is not associated with “MSME Export Promotion Council ” in any manner and has written to Ministry of Corporate Affairs regarding the withdrawal of the “no objection” to the concerned EPC as it has been noted that the “MSME Export Promotion Council” is misutilising the name of the “Ministry of MSME” and misguiding people.
Further, the “MSME Export Promotion Council” has not followed the prescribed procedure laid down by the Department of Commerce for the creation of an Export Promotion Council.
Therefore, the Department of Commerce does not recognise any organisation by the name of “MSME Export Promotion Council” as an EPC.
The members are hereby advised to take note of the same.
