Dear Members,

As part of the Export Promotion Programmes of the Council for the year 2020-2021, the Council is organizing mobilization of participation of its members in Texworld New York City & Apparel Sourcing New York City in New York on Virtual Platform from 12^th to 14^th January 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic situation worldwide. This event is being organized under the Market Access Initiative (MAI) Scheme of the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India.

The highlights of the event are as follows:

Participation fees: Rs.35,000 (subsidized rate due to MAI Scheme)

About the Fair: Texworld New York City is a dedicated sourcing marketing place for American apparels, brands, retailers, wholesalers, independent design firms and buying agencies to find the best domestic and apparel fabrics and finished apparel manufacturers. It is the only event in North America to focus on sourcing apparel fabrics at a high quality-to-affordable price relationship. It is also the largest event in North America offering the widest selection of apparel fabrics directly from the manufacturers. Around 150+ Exhibitors will be participating in the Fair.

Visitors/Attendees to the Fair: Around 3000+ verified attendees are expected to visit the Fair on the Virtual platform which will include North American apparel fashion retailers, brands, wholesalers/distributors, design firms/consultants, and buying houses.

The show has seen an increase of over 20% in international visitors. The Winter 2021 Edition will continue to take advantage of the opportunity to market to international buyers without the need to travel to New York City.

Publicity & Promotion of the Event: The event will be publicized extensively by the Organisers of the Fair – Messe Frankfurt by inviting leading Buyers to attend the Fair, by advertising on their website, through their Media Partners, Content Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Media, Media Relations, On-site Marketing etc.

The Council will also extensively publicise the Event by sending Invites to the prominent Buyers to attend the Fair, seek the support of the Indian Embassy to Advertise the event on the Indian Embassy’s website as well as coordinate with related local Textile Associations to advertise the event.

Textile Industry in the USA:

Exports of Indian MMF textiles to the USA were US$ 595 million during 2019-20.
USA emerged as the leading market for Indian MMF textiles during 2019-20 with 10% share in India’s total MMF textiles exports.
Made-ups with US$ 305 million were the dominant products followed by Fibre US$ 52 million, Yarn US$ 72 million, Fabrics US$ 166 million during 22019-20.
The USA imported around US$ 10 billion of MMF textiles from the world during 2019-20.

There are two Application Forms attached. They are:

Apparel Sourcing New York City (download form)

Since Texworld New York City Form is for Fabrics and Apparel Sourcing New York City Form is for Apparels, all participants are requested to fill-up Texworld New York City Form. In case, any participant has fabrics as well as apparels to display, they have to choose any one of the above-mentioned forms depending upon their products for display at large.

Also, a separate Online Application Form of SRTEPC also needs to fill, which is requested as per the MAI guidelines.

Application Forms are to be duly filled in with all the details, sign the form, scan it, and send it to Ms. Kalavathi Rao on kala@srtepc.in and not on the email id given in the Form. Please note, the last date for submitting your Application Form is 27^th November 2020.

3. Product-sample pictures: All Exhibitors are requested to submit their product-sample high-resolution pictures of only 8 Fabric pieces on the basis of the specifications given below to kala@srtepc.in

Specification of product-sample: SIZE: 120 dpi / 10” height X 7.5” width

Please note, your product pictures along with its details which will be showcased in the Trend Book by the organisers. The last date for submitting your product-pictures is on or before 2^nd December 2020, after which the same will not be accepted.

Terms & Conditions for participation:

Participation will be accepted on a “First-Come-First-Serve” basis with full payment.
Once payment is done by the exhibitor, the same will not be refunded, in case of withdrawal of your participation in the said event.
In case of any disputes, the final decision lies with the Management.
