Amendments in Appendix 3B of the MEIS

Dear Member,

We wish to inform you that DGFT has issued Public Notice No. 27 /2015-2020 making amendments / additions in the Table 1 (containing list of country groups) and Table 2 [containing ITC (HS) code wise list of products with reward rates] of Appendix 3B of Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020.

The amendments / additions made in the MEIS are as follows:

(I) Amendments in Table 1 [containing list of country groups] :

The countries Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, and Liechtenstein have been shifted from country Group C to country Group A
Hong Kong has been shifted from country Group C to country Group B

(II) Additions/amendments in Table 2 [containing ITC (HS) code wise list of products with reward rates under MEIS]

The reward rates of the product lines which comes under the purview of the Council are as follows (Relevant extract of the Public Notice):

The ITC (HS) codes for which a * is marked will get MEIS rewards @2% for exports to Japan. For other countries in the Group B, the rewards will not be available
The ITC (HS) codes for which a # is marked will get MEIS rewards @2% for exports to Japan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. For other countries in the Group B, the rewards will not be available
