Re : Evaluation of Market Access Initiative (MAI) Incentive Scheme
As you are aware, the Market Access Initiative (MAI) Scheme is due for appraisal and the third party evaluation of the scheme has been assigned to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) by the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India. As per the extant Government instructions, an independent third party evaluation is mandatory before appraisal and approval of the Scheme by the competent authority.
In this connection, the evaluation of the Scheme is being done by IIFT Team led by Dr.(Prof.) Rakesh Mohan Joshi, Chairperson, Research Division, and Dr. Pooja Lakhanpal, Associate Professor.
In this regard, the Council has already circulated a "Questionnaire" to all the members to get their feed-backs on the subject. The Ministry of Commerce has also mandated that along with the required feed-backs, an interaction is to be held with the member-exporters to ascertain their feed-back regarding the MAI Scheme.
In view of the above, the Council has arranged a Video Conference Meeting with our member-exporters along with the Team of IIFT to have open discussions and suggestions for improvement of the MAI Scheme. Kindly note the meeting has been rescheduled from 15th Dec to 17th Dec 2020.
