Changes in the Form of Certificate of Origin issued by Korea Customs Service (KCS) and Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI)

Sub:  Changes in the Form of Certificate of Origin issued by Korea Customs Service (KCS) and Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) 

Dear Member, 

Air Cargo Complex (Sahar) has issued Public Notice No.15/2021 dated 27th March, 2021 informing about the changes made in the Form of Certificate of Origin issued by Korea Customs Service (KCS) and Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI). In this regard, JNCH had issued Public Notice No.  23/2021 dated 24th March, 2021. 

Importers / Exporters, Custom Brokers, members of Trade and other stakeholders are informed that KCCl and KCS have notified the following changes in the forms of C/O issued by authorities (KCS and KCCI)– 

a)    Addition of QR Code: Connecting sites to help check C/O authenticity.

b) Addition of 2D Barcode: preventing duplication and counterfeit. 

 

c) Implementation date: April 18, 2016. 

 

In this regard, it is advised that authentication and genuineness of Certificate of Origin issued by KCCI and KCS may be verified by referring to the above mentioned links.
