Sub.:  Extension of validity of AEO certification for ease of renewal process 

Dear Member,     

JNCH has issued Public Notice No.54/2021 dated 7^th June, 2021 regarding extension of Validity of AEO certification for ease of renewal process. In this regard, CBIC had issued Circular No. 11/2021- Customs dated 24^th May, 2021 and Air Cargo Complex had issued Public Notice No. 36/2021 dated 28^th May, 2021. 

Representations have been received by field formations regarding the difficulties being faced by the AEO entities in renewing their existing certification owing to various degrees of restrictions/ lockdown in different parts of our country due to COVIID-19 pandemic.  

Accordingly, the Board has extended the validity of all the AEO Certificates expired/ expiring between 1^st April, 2021 and 31^st May, 2021 to 30^th June, 2021, except for the cases where the entity has been found ineligible for continuation under the AEO Programme.
