Roll out of Mobile X-ray Container Scanner (MXCS) installed at APMT and NSICT/DP World Terminals and working hours of MXCS at NSICT/DP World (Scan Mode-M2) and APMT (Scanned Mode-M3)

Sub.: Roll out of Mobile X-ray Container Scanner (MXCS) installed at APMT and NSICT/DP World Terminals and working hours of MXCS at NSICT/DP World (Scan Mode-M2) and APMT (Scanned Mode-M3) 

Dear Member,     

JNCH has issued Public Notice No.58/2021 dated 23^rd June, 2021 on the above subject. 

Kind attention is invited to Public Notice No. 31/2021 dated 30.03.2021 whereby the Mobile X-Ray Container Scanner (MXCS) installed at JNPCT Terminal/ Site of JNPT was successfully commissioned and rolled out.  

The other two MXCS installed at APMT and NSICT/ DP WORLD Terminals shall be rolled out for routine operation w.e.f. 25^th June, 2021. Al the provisions/procedures as laid down in Public Notice No. 31/2021 and Standing Order No. 7/2021 dated 30.3.2021 will be relevant and applicable for the MXCS installed at APMT and NSICT/ DP WORLD Terminals. 

With regard to working hours of these Mobile Scanners, it is envisaged that- 

1. MXCS located at NSICT/ DP WORLD site shall be operational 24*7. 

2. MXCS located at APMT site shall be operational during daytime only between 9.00 am to 7.00 pm on all days. 

3. After 7.00 pm, all the containers selected for scanning at MXCS (APMT) will invariably be diverted for scanning to DTCS without any endorsement from Customs.
