Sub: REMINDER- 1: DGFT extends due date for IEC modification for 2021-22 till 31st July, 2021 & waives off the fees for IEC updation during July, 2021
Dear Member,
This has reference to Council’s earlier Circular No. ES/85/2021-22 dated 2nd July, 2021 informing about the extension of the period of IEC modification/updation till 31st July, 2021 and also waiving off the fees for IEC updation during July, 2021.
This extension has been notified by O/o DGFT to provide all Exporting/Importing firms sufficient time for compliance with the given IEC updation requirement.
Please make a note of the following important instructions received from O/o DGFT:
All IEC code holders need to MANDATORILY update their details on the DGFT website, if not, their IEC code would be suspended.
DGFT has made efforts to increase the software/hardware capacity suitably, attempt to update on the last few days may be prone to issues because of amplified load on the DGFT system.
Members of Trade should plan and complete their Activity in advance well before the given deadline (Please try to update your IEC by 15th July, 2021).
Any IEC which was issued or updated on or after 1st July, 2021 are not mandated to update their IEC again.
