Sub: Government grants extension of six months for implementation of BIS Standards  

Dear Member,         

Kindly refer to Council’s earlier Circular No. ES/179/2021-22 dated 16^th October, 2021 informing about the issuance of Gazette Orders dated 8^th October, 2021 by the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (Dept. of Chemicals and Petrochemicals) by granting an extension of six months for implementation of BIS Standards.  

Members are once again requested to hasten the process and comply within the prescribed time frame, since the process of obtaining the certification is time consuming and cumbersome. 

Members may kindly make a note of the above.
