Sub: CBIC issues Notification to give effect to the first tranche of India UAE CEPA 

Dear Sir,  
  

As you are aware, the Government has flagged off the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between India and the UAE which came into effect on 1^st May 2022 allowing most of the country’s exports a duty-free access to UAE. 

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has now issued Customs Notification No. 22/2022-Customs dated 30^th April, 2022 for the operationalization of the agreement from 1^st May 2022.    

A copy of the relevant extract of the above Custom Notification applicable to goods falling under Chapter 54-63 is enclosed herewith for your reference.  

For detailed information, members may kindly refer to Customs Notification No. 22/2022-Customs dated 30^th April, 2022.  
 

Members are requested to make a note of the above Notification and do the needful.
