Customs procedure for export of cargo in containers and closed bodied trucks from ICDs/ CFSs through Land Customs Stations (LCS)

Sub.: Customs procedure for export of cargo in containers and closed bodied trucks from ICDs/ CFSs through Land Customs Stations (LCS)

Dear Member,

We would like to inform you that CBIC has issued Circular No. 32/2018- Customs dated 17th September, 2018 on the above subject.

Your kind attention is invited to Circular No. 52/2017 dated 22.12.2017 wherein CBIC had prescribed the procedure for facilitating and monitoring transshipment of consignments sealed under Electronic Cargo Tracking System (ECTS) at Inland Container Depot (ICDs)/ Container freight station (CFSs) and destined for export to Nepal or Bangladesh.

Now, CBIC has decided to allow the said facility through the following locations:

    (ix)   Mahadipur

For export of goods in containers by Rail to Bangladesh through Gede and Petrapole

CFSs as specified by the Chief Commissioner of Customs, Kolkata

For exports through Petrapole and Gede.

Further, it may be informed that Circular No. 52/2017 dated 22.12.2017 has been updated as on 17th September, 2018.
