Sub.: DGFT extends the validity period of EPCG Authorisation from 18 months to 24 months.
Dear Member,
We are pleased to inform you that the O/o DGFT has issued Public Notice No. 47/ 2015-20 dated 16th November, 2018 extending the validity period of Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) Authorisation from 18 months to 24 months.
In this regard, amendments are made in Para 2.16 relating to Validity Period of Authorisation/ License/ Certificate/ Authorisation/ Permissions/ CCPs under Hand Book of Procedures 2015-20
Further, it may be informed that the import validity period of the EPCG Authorisations which have been issued prior to the date of issuance of Public Notice No. 47/ 2015-20 and whose validity has not expired on the date of issuance of this Public Notice shall also be extended to 24 months from the date of the issuance of the Authorisation.
Please note that the Authorisation holders are required to submit the Authorisations to the concerned Regional Authority (RA) for endorsement. The RAs shall follow such endorsement without insisting upon any fee.
