Circular No. MR/ CIR/1673                                                                    November 29, 2018

To: Members of the Council

Dear Member,

Sub.: Trade Issues in Africa Region and WANA

This Council has received a communication from the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India requesting to share “Trade Issues” faced by exporters while exporting to AFRICA and WANA Regions. In case there is any such issue which is disrupting our exports to these regions then the same will be taken up suitably with their respective Governments for appropriate resolution in the forthcoming bilateral Joint Trade Committee (JTC) or Joint Commission Meeting (JCM). WANA (West Asia and North Africa) region comprises 19 countries. These countries are Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Iraq, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Yemen, Libya and South Sudan.

As you are aware, countries in the Africa and WANA regions are some of the most potential and leading markets for Indian MMF textile exports.

Therefore, Member-exports of the Council are requested to inform the issues, if any which are disrupting Indian MMF textile exports to these regions, so that the same can be resolved bilaterally as soon as possible and penetrate these two important regions for boosting MMF textiles exports from India.  Members may send the desired trade disrupting issues through email at mr@srtepc.in & ed@srtepc.in positively by Saturday, 1st December, 2018.
Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,
