CBIC rescinds Circular No. 46/2017-Customs dated 24th November, 2017

Sub: CBIC rescinds Circular No. 46/2017-Customs dated 24^th November, 2017

Dear Member,

This is to inform you that CBIC has issued Circular No.04/2019- Customs dated 1^st February, 2019 on the above subject.

As you are aware, CBIC had issued Circular No. 46/2017-Customs dated 24^th  November, 2017 clarifying the applicability of IGST / GST on goods transferred / sold while being deposited in a warehouse. This Circular was superseded by Circular No. 3 /1/2018-IGST dated 25^th May, 2018 w.e.f 1^st April 2018.

Further, Circular No. 3 /1/2018-IGST dated 25^th May 2018 is being rescinded w.e.f. 1^st February, 2019.

Now, CBIC has also clarified that the Circular No. 46/2017-Customs dated 24^th  November, 2017 stands rescinded on the date of supersession by Circular No. 3 /1/2018-IGST dated 25^th May 2018 w.e.f. 1t April, 2018.

Members are requested to kindly make a note of the above.
