Sub.: REMINDER- Request/ inputs for creation of new HS Codes
Dear Member,
Kindly refer to Council’s earlier Circular No.ES/422/2018-19 dated 26th March, 2019 seeking inputs for formulation of new HS Codes for the items currently being exported under the “Other” category.
In this regard, the Council has prepared a list of HS Codes of MMF products under the “Other” Category for your easy reference and doing the needful (List attached).
As you are aware, the O/o Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) has requested the Council to seek information from its members regarding details of the products/items which you have been exporting under the “Other “ category.
We earnestly request you to kindly provide us the information as per the format given below latest by 1st April, 2019 (Monday) to ed@srtepc.in, es@srtepc.in so as to enable the Council to send the same to CBIC.

As you may also be aware, that many members are facing problems in the Customs/ DGFT due to incorrect HS Codes resulting into punitive measures like withdrawal of export benefits and other penalty charges.
Please treat this message as urgent & important and send us the details so that proper HS Codes may be formulated for MMF Textile items which will not only help us to procure the right data but will also help exporters to define their product under the correct HS Code and get the export benefits for their products.
