Sub: Exemption from charges for late filing of Bill of Entry
Dear Member,
We would like to inform you that JNCH (Nhava Sheva) has issued Public Notice No. 77/2019 dated 6th September, 2019 exempting from charges for late filing of Bill of Entry.
Due to heavy rainfall on 4th September, 2019, the trade faced difficulty in filing the Bills of Entry within the given time period.
As a measure of Trade Facilitation, JNCH Customs has now decided that, for calculation of the period for deciding late fee charges, the date 4th September, 2019 will not be counted. To reiterate, the waiver from late filing charges will be limited to 04.09.2019 only.
In case of any difficulty, members may kindly contact the Addl. Commissioner of Customs, AM (i).
