Sub: Issue of Authorised Dealers (AD) banks regarding non–updation of the data in EDPMS
Dear Member,
We would like to inform you that the Council has received a communication from the EP-Textiles Division, Department of Commerce, informing about the issues faced by MSME exporters of Textiles EPCs with the Authorised Dealers (AD) banks regarding non–updation of the data in EDPMS and their inability to distinguish between free samples / non-commercial items.
In this connection, it was further informed that the Ministry of Commerce had taken up the matter with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
In this regard, RBI has informed that exemption from provisions of automated caution listing have been extended till December, 2019. Additionally, RBI has requested the Ministry to provide specific details of banks concerned/ instances/cases so that the issue may be further examined.
Members are therefore requested to kindly send us the specific details along with instances/cases of AD banks to the Council (es@srtepc.in) so that the same may be taken up with RBI at the earliest.
Members may kindly make a note of the above and do the needful at the earliest.
