Sub: Review of P.N. No. 46/2020 dated 07.04.2020 : Procedure for assessment in cases of non- submission of Original Country of Origin Certificates
Dear Member,
JNCH (Nhava Sheva) has issued Public Notice No.60/2020 dated 23rd April, 2020 on the above subject.
In this regard please be informed of the following -
JNCH had issued Public Notice No. 46/2020 dated 7th April, 2020 informing that Importers are required to submit proper Bond on or before 7th May, 2020.
Subsequently as per CBIC’s Circular No. 21/2020-Customs dated 21st April, 2020, it was decided to further extend the facility of accepting undertaking in lieu of Bond for the period till 15th May, 2020.
Consequently, the date of submission of proper bond in lieu of which the undertaking is being temporarily accepted, is extended till 30th May2020. In addition to submission of undertaking in lieu of Bond through registered email of the IEC holder or their authorised Customs Broker, the said undertaking must be uploaded on eSanchit.
With the exception of the above, all other conditions mentioned in Public Notice No. 46/2020 dated 07.04.2020 stand unaltered.
