Sub: Electronic Sealing-deposit in and removal of goods from Customs Bonded Warehouse
Dear Member,
CBIC has issued Circular No. 25/20-Customs dated 18th May, 2020 regarding Electronic Sealing-deposit in and removal of goods from Customs Bonded Warehouse.
As you are aware, vide Circular No. 19/2018-Customs dated 18th June, 2018 and Circular No. 10/2020- Customs dated 7th February, 2020, CBIC had provided for RFID sealing of goods to be deposited in or removed from Customs Bonded Warehouses. The implementation of these Circulars was deferred vide Circular Nos. 54/2018- Customs dated 13th December, 2018 and 20/2020-Customs dated 21st April, 2020.
In view of the representations received from stakeholders, Board has now decided to review the modalities under the aforesaid Circulars. Accordingly, a comprehensive circular is under consideration and shall be soon placed in public domain (cbic.nic.in) to seek inputs/ suggestions from stakeholders before issuance.
In view of the above, Circular No. 19/2018-Customs dated 18th June, 2018 and Circular No. 10/2020- Customs dated 7th February, 2020 stands rescinded.
