Sub: Extension of validity of AEO certification for ease of renewal process
Dear Member,
Air Cargo Customs (Sahar) has issued Public Notice No. 91/2020 dated 7th June, 2020 extending the validity of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification for ease of renewal process.
Your kind attention is invited to para. 5.1 of Circular No.33/2016-Customs dated 22nd July, 2015 amended vide Para. viii of Circular No.03/2018-Customs dated 17thJanuary, 2018, relating to “Validity of AEO Certificate”, which read as under :
“The validity of AEO Certificate shall be three years for AEO-T1 and AEO-T2, and five years for AEO-T3 and AEO-LO”
In view of Circular No.27/2020-Customs dated 2nd June, 2020, the validity of all the AEO certificates expired/expiring between 1st March, 2020 and 31st May, 2020 has been extended to 30th June, 2020, except for those entities against which a negative report is received during this period.
In case of any difficulty, members may kindly contact the Additional/Joint Commissioner of Customs, Import, ACC, Mumbai.
