Sub: Draft BIS Quality Control Order for Protective Textile Items.
Greetings of the Day.
It is to inform that the Ministry of Textiles has published draft Quality Control Order in respect of Protective textiles items in order to make it mandatory to have BIS Certification keeping in view human safety and for ensuring optimum quality of the product.
Ministry of Textile's OM dated 01.09.2022 on the above-cited subject is attached for the reference.
Members of the Council are requested to kindly send their valuable inputs/ views on the above-mentioned quality control order for Protective Textile items, through email at baruah@srtepc.in, ed@srtepc.in by tomorrow 16.9.2022 to help us send a consolidated reply to the Ministry as advised.
