Re: Participation in FEDERAL TRADE FAIR FOR APPAREL & TEXTILE, MOSCOW, RUSSIA from 20th – 23rd September 2016

We are glad to inform you that the Council is planning to organize participation of its member-companies in “FEDERAL TRADE FAIR FOR APPAREL & TEXTILE, MOSCOW,RUSSIA” scheduled from 20th – 23rd September 2016. The exhibition will be visited by leading Russian and other CIS countries textile buyers / importers / agents. Participation in this Exhibition will provide member-companies an excellent opportunity to establish trade-contacts with prospective Russian customers, and enhance their Exports to this market and entire CIS region. The details of the Exhibition are as follows:

• Dates : 20th – 23rd September 2016
• Venue: All-Russian Exhibition Center (V.V.C) Moscow, Russia
• Product Coverage: All types of yarn, fabrics, made-ups, home textiles, and garments.
   

PROFILE OF THE EVENT: FEDERAL TRADE FAIR has established itself as an important Textile Fair in Russia, which attracts a large number of buyers of textile products from Russia including entire CIS region and other major textile importing countries across the world.  The Fair is regularly visited by textile/clothing manufacturers, large scale retailers, wholesalers, chain stores, departmental stores, buying houses, leading agents including Fashion Designers.

MARKET POTENTIAL FOR TEXTILES & CLOTHING IN RUSSIA

• Russia has emerged as one of the highly potential and fast growing textile & clothing markets in the world. Russia is a potential market for textile products like Cotton, Man-made textiles, Apparels, Silk, Carpet, Wool, etc. Russia imported around US$ 8 billion of various textile products during 2015. However, Indian share in Russia’s total imports of textiles and clothing is only 3% - amounting to US$ 262 million. Hence, there is substantial scope for all segments of Indian textiles to increase their market shares in Russia. The proposed exhibition is expected to increase our market share in Russia’s total import of textiles and clothing and give further boost to already growing exports.
• Currently, Russia imported around US$ 2 bn of MMF textiles from the world during 2015 in which India’s share is only 2% (US$ 38 mn).
• Russia is strategically located and shares borders with many Asian as well as European countries. Exporting to Russia will provide great exposure to Indian textile products to other from emerging countries from CIS and European region.
• Russia is the one of the largest market for Turkish textile exports. However, the recently developed strained relationship between Russia and Tirkey has opened up opportunity for Indian textile exports. This is a good prospect for our Members to enhance their exports to Russia by establishing business contacts in the Russian market and to explore new opportunities, meet new buyers/importers and gain a foothold in this growing market.

WHY PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT?

• FEDERAL TRADE FAIR is one of the popular and reputed exhibitions in the Eurasian Region being held since 1993, visited by nearly 50,000 visitors.
• Participation in this event will help Indian textiles industry to showcase the entire range of textiles from fibres, yarns, fabrics, accessories and garments on a common platform.
• The Exhibition will help customers from Russia and neighbouring region to see the latest range of Indian textile items across the textile value chain under one roof and conclude profitable business deals.
• Product display in this exhibition may provide exposure of Indian textile products not only to Russia but also to other CIS, Asian and European countries.
• Participation in this event is likely to double our exports from the current level and substantially increase our market share.

VISA, HOTEL ACCOMMODATION & GROUP TRANSPORTATIONS: The Council will assist participants to obtain Visa for attending the Exhibition in co-ordination with the Embassy of India.  Participants will also be assisted for booking their air-tickets and arranging hotel accommodations as applicable. Furthermore, group transportation of participants from airport to Hotel may also be arranged by the Council without any extra costs.

PARTICIPATION FEE IN THIS EVENT WILL BE INTIMATED SOON TO THE INTERESTED MEMBERS.

NOT-TO-BE-MISSED OPPORTUNITY: Participation in FEDERAL TRADE FAIR, RUSSIA will provide a unique opportunity to SRTEPC-members to showcase their complete range of products of textiles and explore possibilities of discussing business with their Russian counterparts.
