Sub : A Brief reform update of the measures taken by CBEC
Dear Sir,
As you are aware, the Government of India has been constantly focusing on the importance of ‘Ease of Doing Business’ as a major support of ‘Make in India’ initiative.
In order to achieve this target CBEC has taken several initiatives. These initiatives in the area of indirect tax reforms have been taken based on inputs received from the Trade & Industry.
A brief of the reform update of the measures taken by CBEC recently is here (download) for your information.
It is requested that you may kindly go through the list and inform the Council your suggestions/ views to matters other than tariff as the tariff suggestions have already been examined as part of the recent Budget exercise, so that we can take up the issues with the Directorate General of Taxpayer Services, Central Board of Excise and Customs.
We solicit your co-operation in the matter and look forward to receive your suggestions/ views with respect to the above. Your immediate reply in this regard shall be highly appreciated.
