Sub: India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA)
As you are aware, India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) has been implemented from 1st May, 2022. Under this India-UAE CEPA the products of entire MMF Textile value chain is getting duty free access in UAE.
We do hope that by now, exporters have become familiar with the application procedure and entire process for availing the duty-free benefits while exporting to UAE. You are also aware that the Authorised Indian Agencies to issue the Certificate of Origin in case of the India-UAE CEPA are Export Inspection Council and Export Inspection Agencies, Textile Committee and DGFT.
In this regard, if Member Companies are facing any difficulty/problem including relating to the Certificate of Origin, Cost Sheet, Purchase Invoice, etc. due to which exporters are not able to get the duty free benefits while exporting to UAE, then you are requested to kindly send the details/ representation on the same to the Council by email to baruah@srtepc.in and ed@srtepc.in so that the same may be taken up with the concerned authority for addressing suitably.
