Sub: Inputs on Draft IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) Guidelines
Dear Member,
Ministry of Textiles, under NTTM, has sanctioned 137 projects valuing approx. INR 474 crores in different fields of Technical Textiles. Some of these projects are fundamental in nature while a majority are applied research projects involving participation of an Industry partner.
To streamline the financial and technical contributions from industry partners in these research projects, along with the management of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) generated from the projects, the current IPR guidelines have been modified. These changes aim to encourage industry participation from the outset, both financially and technically.
The Ministry has developed a draft IPR document by studying the IPR policies of various departments and institutions, as well as incorporating inputs from stakeholders and experts.
