Revised Duty Drawback Rates for 2016-17

Sub: Revised Duty Drawback Rates for 2016-17

Dear Sir,

The Government has announced the Revised All Industry Rates of Duty Drawback for 2016-17 vide Notification No.131/2016 - Customs (N.T.), dated 31^st October, 2016. The revised rates of Drawback are effective from 15^th November, 2016.

In this regard, please find herewith the following:

1. Notification No.131/2016 - Customs (N.T.) dated 31^st October, 2016
2. Notification No. 132/2016- Customs (N.T.) dated 31^st October, 2016 
3. Circular No. 50/2016- Customs dated 31^st October, 2016

In the new Drawback rates, the Drawback rates for some of the MMF Textile items have been marginally increased. 

For easy accessibility to our members, the Council has prepared the following;

1. Drawback Schedule for MMF Textiles (Chapter 54 to 63).
2. Comparative Statement of rates of Drawback for the major items of MMF Textiles under the Drawback Schedule for 2016-17 and 2015-16.

We request you to go through the Drawback Schedule and give us your feedback/suggestions especially on anomalies on classification and rates latest by 10^th November, 2016 so that the same can be taken up with the Ministry. Since, the new Drawback rates are applicable w.e.f. 15^th November, 2016, we request you  to kindly send us the information on the suggested date  i.e. 10^th  November, 2016.
