TO THE MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL
Dear Sir/ Madam,
SUB: Urgent Support/Initiative from the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India for boosting exports of Indian MMF textiles.
We are glad to inform you that the Council has had an exclusive meeting with Shri Anant Kumar Singh, Secretary Textiles, Government of India during his visit to Moscow, Russia for the Federal Trade Fair for Apparel & Textile popularly known as “TEXTILLEGPROM” being organised by the Council jointly with FICCI from August 29 to 1 September, 2017.
In order to have a close interaction and know as to how the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India may intervene and help the exporters to enhance exports from India, the Secretary Textiles had called for an exclusive meeting on 31st August, 2017 with the participating companies. During the meeting, senior representatives of the participating companies who were present had raised several issues such as credit facility through ECGC, increasing export competitiveness, etc.
Based on the above mentioned meeting in Moscow, the Council is preparing a representation to be sent to the Secretary, Textiles, Government of India on the issues to be addressed urgently by the Ministry of Textiles.
To help the Council prepare a precise and focused representation on behalf of the industry, we request you to send us your specific issues/inputs point wise and systematically. Your inputs should reach the Council within this week latest by 15th September, 2017.
