Sub:  Seeks to impose definitive anti dumping duty on imports of fish net or fishing nets originating from China or Bangladesh.

Dear Member,

This is to inform you that the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has issued Notification No. 20/2018- Customs (ADD) dated 10^th April, 2018 imposing anti-dumping duty on imports of  fishnet or fishing nets originating in or exported from China or Bangladesh falling under Sub- Heading No. 56081110.

Product under consideration for this notification means: ‘’Fishnet” or “Fishing Net”.

1. Fishing Nets are made up of Nylon only – whether 100% or blended. In case of blended, scope includes fishing nets containing 50% or more Nylon by weight.

     ii.   Product under consideration does not include HDPE fishing net.

This duty shall be effective for a period of five years (unless revoked, superseded or amended earlier) from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette and shall be paid in Indian currency.
