Sub: Dispensing with the procedure of submission of Hard Copy of the Bills of Entry to the Custodian for delivery of the Import Cargo
Dear Member,
We would like to you that Air Cargo Complex has issued Public Notice No 76/ 2018 dated 25th June, 2018 on the above subject.
Your kind attention is invited to Notification No. 36/2018- Customs (NT) dated 11th May, 2018 regarding implementation of paper free clearance process.
As you are aware. at present, Custodian requires hard copy of Out of Charge Order for issue of the Gate Pass.
To further facilitate clearance of import consignments, henceforth, the custodian will issue the Gate Pass/ Delivery Order on electronic transmission of Out of Charge (OOC) through ICEGATE without insisting for the hard copy of Out of Charge Order. However, because of system failure/ or any other technical problem, if electronic transmission of OOC to the Custodian is not possible, the custodian shall issue the delivery order on written order from Assistant/ Deputy Commissioner ( Import Shed),
