Sub.: Drawback Committee seeks data for its meeting with the Council’s representatives on 14th October, 2019
Dear Member,
The Council has received a communication from the Duty Drawback Department regarding constitution of the Drawback Committee for the year 2019.
In this regard, the Committee has started the preparatory work for the determination of All Industry rates of duty drawback and hence, they would like to meet technical experts from the synthetic/ artificial textiles industry under the current trends of manufacturing and export in India. Among other details, the Committee seeks the following information from the MMF Textile sector:
a) The specific products being majorly manufactured across the industry
b) The major specific export products
c) The manufacturing process and their variations, if any,
d) The current inputs for these products and any change in the input structure in the last few years, if any.
Further, the Committee would also like to know the current practice in the industry and therefore, the Council’s calculation for submission of the data shall be done later.
In view of the above, members are requested to kindly provide the above information by today (10th Oct., 2019) evening till 5 P.M. to ed@srtepc.in, es@srtepc.in.
