Ref:   Delay in Release of  Pending Drawback Claims with JNPT Customs

Dear Sir,

As you are aware, a Meeting was held in JNPT with Shri B.B. Prasad, Chief Commissioner of Customs, JNPT and various EPCs.

In this connection, the Council had raised some issues faced by our members during the operational level at JNPT Customs. One of the issues brought to the notice of the Chief Commissioner was the delay in release of Drawback Claims by JNPT Customs. It was informed by the Chief Commissioner that a list of all the issues regarding Drawback pending prior to September 2014 should be sent by the Councils to the Customs immediately for its review and release of these pending drawback claims.

In order to enable the Council to take up this matter with JNPT Customs, we request you to send us details of your pending Drawback claims to us immediately.

Details should include the following information  :

1. Name of your Company
2. IEC No.
3. Shipping Bill No. & Date.
4. Drawback Amount
5. Drawback Pending since when
