Sub: Interface with the Consul General of Iran on March 10, 2015 at the office of Zonal Additional DGFT, Mumbai

Dear Member,

We have been informed by the Office of the Additional DGFT that Consul General of Islamic Republic of Iran and the UCO Bank authorities shall be special invitees for the EFC meeting.

The Meeting to be chaired by Dr.Kavita Gupta, IAS, Zonal Additional DGFT, Mumbai  will be held on 10^th March, 2015 at 11.00 A.M. in the Conference Hall of the office of Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Nishtha  Bhawan, 48, Sir Vithaldas Thackersey Marg, Churchgate, Mumbai – 400 020.

This is an opportunity for you to interface with the Consul General of Iran and the UCO Bank authorities to sort out issues pertaining to exports to Iran.

In this regard, we have identified some areas where the exporters face difficulty with the buyers in the foreign countries, which need to be discussed:

1. Matters related to payment for exports to Iran.
2. Trade related Regulations which require to be known / clarified by the  
3. exporters and/or which are causing obstacles in trade.
4. Any Trade Dispute with the buyers of the country.
5. Other matters in which exporters require to interface with various authorities in the trading countries. Further, in case, they are facing  any problem either in terms of knowing which authorities are to be approached/procedures there of/relevant rules in the said regard, clarifications regarding the same. 
6. Issues relating to visa etc. which the exporters may be facing.
7. Other facilities the exporters would like to have in the trading country in order to promote trade with them.
8. Any other issue.

Members are requested to send in their replies to the Council on the above mentioned issues relating to Iran by March 1, 2015 so that the Council can include the same in the points for discussion with the Consulate General of Iran.
